May 2010 - Royal Philharmonic Orchestra - Conducted by David Arnold
Our piece for piano and orchestra 'Hope Springs Eternal' has recently been recorded by the Royal Philarmonic Orchestra in the UK - Conducted by David Arnold. The piece is featured on a new collection 'Calm Before The Storm' by SATV (BSkyB UK) Publishing.

Dark Days in Monkey City
The Sound Room recently composed the score for 'Dark Days In Monkey City' - a 14 part documentary series for Animal Planet (USA) produced by NHNZ which is now airing round the world.

China Tour Dec 2009
During December Tom and Marshall joined their band 'The New Freedom' for a 2 week, 6 city tour of China. The 4 piece original pop / rock band played gigs in Hong Kong, Guangzhou and Tongxian as well as a cultural exchange with students at the Nanjing Arts Institute in Nanjing.

Nov 2009 - Donated To Science screening
The Sound Room recently completed the score for the TV3 and festival release documentary "Donated To Science". The documentary screened in New Zealand initially on TV3 Wednesday 18th November 9:30pm to rave reviews...

October 2009 - New Collaborations & Projects
We have recently started on a number of exciting new international collaborations with songwriter/composer David Mindel (from the UK based in France). David is famous for writing the UK National Lottery theme tune amongst many other songwriting successes. We continue to write and collaborate with songwriters Gary Mill and Phil Ogden (Scotland) and remixer/producer Andy Littlewood (UK).
We are currently writing indie rock material for a new production music series for BSkyB UK.
We have just completed a 3 song production for highly talented singer/songwriter (NZ) Phil Irving. We'll get some samples up in our libary section shortly.
The 8 song christmas album for Polkadots children group has also just been completed.

October 2009 - ECC25 Concert South Africa
Tom is joining the members of his former band 'Bright Blue' at the Spier Amphitheatre near Capetown in South Africa for 'ECC25'. This is a 3 day festival to celebrate the End Conscription Campaign (ECC) launched 25 years ago. The event celebrates the diversity and richness of the campaign and its cultural milieu, recalling its values and achievements. Visit the events website here.

August 2009 - New Publishing Deal Signed In UK
Sound Room writing and production clients Kelly Rose and singer/songwriter Fiona Benefield have just been signed to British publisher Big World Music.

July 2009 - Tackling Peace
The Sound Room recently completed the score for the Channel 10 Australia documentary "Tackling Peace".

Ongoing - Polkadots
The Sound Room continues to co-write and produce music with early childhood music group "Polkadots" who are currently the hot favourites on the childrens music circuit in New Zealand! The 3rd album 'Christmas 2009' was completed during September 2009.

Zeisha
The Sound Room continues to co-write and produce singer/songwriter Zeisha Fremaux. Check out her current NZ On Air funded single "Secret Game - Featuring PNC" on our music room page.
